In this video, we see how to solve the problem of a key getting stuck in the ignition of a Nissan Qashqai by using a kit of thin diamond files that gradually file down the broken key inside. However, it's important to note that this may prevent the steering lock from activating and could also affect the central locking system. There are other methods though: by inserting the key into the lock and pressing it a bit harder, we may be able to get it to go in further and then remove it along with the other key. This happens because the spring sinks to allow the second key to enter: by pushing on this spring, it's possible to also extract the broken key.
