In order to replace the EGR valve of the Opel Astra, you need to open the hood so that you can access the components located inside the engine compartment: at the rear of the engine block, you will be able to locate the EGR valve, downstream of the exhaust manifold. To remove it from its housing, you will need to unscrew the fixing screws and disconnect the power cables; this way, you can insert the new valve, connect its sensors, and secure it to its housing using the screws that were previously removed.
