Operation: How to replace the trunk lock in the Volkswagen Golf?

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the trunk lock in the Volkswagen Golf, an extremely simple and quick operation. First of all, we open the tailgate, then, using a preferably plastic spatula in order not to leave any marks, we unhook the inner panel by levering along the perimeter. We then release the lock release mechanism, unscrew the two fixing bolts using an 8mm star hex key and separate the lock itself from the support. At this point, we can position the replacement and follow the reverse procedure.
