If the error code 82 appears on your Opel Astra J, don't worry, this in fact identifies the need to change the engine oil and you can find the description of the code in the user manual. To reset the warning light, simply press the â € œmenuâ € button on the instrument lever (the one on the left of the steering wheel that activates the directional arrows) until the oil symbol is shown with the remaining percentage (the warning light comes on when the oil level is 4%). Press and hold the â € œset / clrâ € key until you hear a beep and the number shown is 100 (the percent sign is not shown on the screen). Pressing the â € œmenuâ € key again exits the control section. At this point it is necessary to manually check the oil level and, if necessary, to carry out the reset again after having added the fluid to the standard level.
