Answer

The fuel filler flap can be unlocked if the central locking is faulty: open the boot lid, lift the cover on the right-hand side of the car (looking at it from the rear) where there is a suitable recess. Unlock the fuel filler flap from inside the boot by carefully pulling on the plastic cable, only until resistance is felt, as the unlocking is not audible. Otherwise you risk damaging the emergency release device.
