Engine Mount Replacement Instructions

Engine mount failure is a common issue on many BMW models, but fortunately, both the aftermarket replacement parts and the installation are easy to handle. Position the vehicle on appropriate car ramps to facilitate access to the vehicle's undercarriage and remove the splash shield. Next, remove the engine air filter box and get a ratchet wrench with at least two extensions to access the mounting bolts of the mounts directly from the engine bay. Once the central bolts are removed, lift the engine with a jack and unscrew the flange mounting bolts to remove the old mounts and insert the new ones, tightening the flange bolts first, then lower the engine and tighten the central bolts.
