Replacing the Alternator on a Fiat 500

Learn how to remove the alternator from a Fiat 500. Lift the bonnet and secure it, locate the battery and disconnect the terminals. Raise the vehicle on a column lift and identify the parts to be removed. Remove the wheel and take off the wheel arch liner. Unscrew the bolts with a socket spanner, being careful not to damage the wiring harness, and unscrew all the securing bolts of the alternator. Once the removal is complete, pull out the part after disconnecting the electrical terminals. Install the new alternator by connecting the electrical terminals and securing it with bolts. Reconnect the terminals to the battery.
