In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the EGR valve on a Ford Escape, a very simple and quick operation. First, wait for the engine to be completely cool to work safely. Then, open the hood and locate the valve near the oil dipstick. Next, apply some penetrating spray to the two mounting bolts, let it sit for a few minutes, and remove them using two 10mm wrenches. Once done, you can unscrew the valve from the lower pipe, install the replacement, and follow the reverse procedure.
