How Does the Mazda Emergency Tyre Repair Kit Work?

In this video, we see how the emergency tyre repair kit, standard equipment on Mazda vehicles, works. It can be used for punctures up to 4 mm. The kit includes a sealant canister, injection nozzle, compressor, speed limit label for the repaired tyre (80 km/h), valve extractor, spare valve core, and reference guide. The sealant canister is for one tyre, at 1.3 bar pressure at temperatures above -30°C. The operation should be performed on level ground, with the handbrake applied, and the gearbox in 1st (if manual) or 'P' if automatic. The engine must be off, and the hazard lights on. Position the warning triangle and wear a safety vest. Shake the canister well, screw the injection nozzle onto the canister, remove the valve cap from the tyre, and use the extractor to remove the valve core (keep it safe). Attach the injection nozzle hose, then holding the canister upside down, inject all the sealant, and then replace the valve core using the extractor. Now connect the compressor hose to the tyre valve, then plug the power into the vehicle's socket. Turn on the vehicle's ignition, switch on the compressor, and adjust it to the appropriate level; once the pressure is reached, remove the hose, apply the speed limit label, and store the kit. Drive for 10 minutes to allow the sealant to reach the puncture: Stop and check the tyre pressure. Contact a tyre specialist as soon as possible for repair or replacement.
