How to Reset the Service Indicator on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Detailed instructions - This video shows the procedure to reset the service light on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class. This procedure is useful when the service light remains on after performing an oil change. First, turn the key to the first position. Then, use the up arrow button on the left side of the steering wheel to scroll until the odometer appears on the dashboard. At this point, press the button on the left side of the dashboard three times. After pressing the button three times, turn the key to position 2. The service reminder light should appear; if it does not, use the up arrow button to scroll through the menu until you find it. Once located, press the button on the left side of the dashboard once. Now, use the plus and minus buttons located on the right side of the steering wheel to select the type of oil, then select it using the left arrow button on the steering wheel. Finally, press the reset button on the left side of the dashboard for 3 seconds. When the message "service confirmed" appears on the dashboard, the reset has been successful.
