How to Remove the Fuel Pump on an Opel Astra

How do you remove the fuel pump mounted on an Opel Astra? First, disconnect the battery cables, then, remove the rear seat cushions of the car. Using a socket, unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap; remove the metal cap from its housing. Use absorbent paper around the perimeter to soak up any fluid leaks. Unscrew the large retaining pin of the fuel pump with a chisel, disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation pipes. Extract the floating fuel pump from its housing along with the attached parts. Finally, install the new piece.
