How to Remove the Front Brake Pads from an Opel Astra

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra H - Years 2004-2010

Before starting, lift the front of your Opel Astra. Begin by unscrewing the bolts securing the front wheel, then remove the front wheel. Next, unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the brake caliper to the disc, then slightly pull it away. Once done, push the pistons back using a flat screwdriver. At this point, completely move the brake caliper aside, then remove the front brake pads. Once this step is completed, the disassembly will be finished.
