Instructions for Removing the Starter Motor

Before starting to remove the starter motor, it is advisable to disconnect the battery; to easily access the starter motor, which is connected to the gearbox, it is preferable to lift the vehicle on a ramp and then proceed with its removal by first disconnecting the power cables from the starter itself; once freed from the cables, unscrew the securing bolts and remove it from its housing: one of the two securing bolts is a type of captive bolt to which the earth cable is connected, and to remove it, a long socket or tube spanner is required.
