Vauxhall Astra - Video tutorial
Model: Vauxhall Astra
Astra J
- Years 2009-2016 Let's see how to change the front brake pads on the Opel Astra J: let's start by opening the brake fluid reservoir cap. We remove the front wheels, putting the car on stands, to be sure that the car does not fall on us while we are working on it. Now we have to remove the two bolts highlighted in the video, to remove the caliper from the disc. We place the caliper on the disc and then remove the worn pads. The Brembo pad kit for our Opel Astra J costs 60.83 euros on E-Bay, including delivery. We clean the caliper, then put on the new pads; we can reposition the caliper on the disc and replace the bolts that we had previously removed. We switch to the other wheel and repeat the procedure. Put the wheel back in place and close the brake fluid reservoir cap. Operation finished.

Before carrying out this simple and quick operation, make sure that you have completed any required maintenance work. We start by inserting the key but leaving it in the initial position, after which we keep the accelerator pedal fully depressed and at the same time turn on the instrument panel. At this point, always keeping the accelerator pressed, press the brake pedal 5 consecutive times and, with the pedals in position, turn off the ignition. We check that the procedure has been successful by starting the vehicle. by ScegliAuto More videos
