Once the car has been lifted on a lift or jack, remove the wheel that needs repairing. Then, using a 6mm hexagonal key, loosen the fixing bolt of the disc to the hub. With a screwdriver, release the retaining spring on the brake caliper.

Locate and remove the rubber caps on the rear of the brake caliper fixing bolts and unscrew them with a 7mm hex key. Using a fixed screwdriver, lever between the brake disc and the caliper to retract the piston and create the necessary clearance to easily remove the caliper.

Using a 16mm socket wrench, unscrew the brake caliper support fixing bolts.

Then remove the old brake disc from the hub (if it is stuck, tap the front of the disc with a hammer and not the sides to release it). It is recommended to brush and clean the hub from any rust residues and apply grease to prevent oxidation. Then apply the new disc (after cleaning it with solvent to remove any passivating oil residues) aligning the fixing bolt hole with the threaded hole on the hub: tighten this bolt correctly with a 6mm hex key. Reassemble the brake caliper support bracket.

Apply a new set of brake pads to the brake caliper and reassemble the caliper itself. Finally, reattach the retaining spring to the caliper.

Before driving, it is recommended to pump the brake pedal until it offers the right resistance to ensure that the brake caliper piston reaches the end of its travel, and pay attention to the first brake applications. The necessary tools to perform this repair are: a hammer, a medium-sized fixed screwdriver, a 6mm and a 7mm hex key, a 16mm and a 17mm socket wrench.
