The guide shows how to check the oil level of the Ducati 996 engine. The first observation to make is to check the oil before fully using the engine; otherwise, if the engine is hot, it is advisable to wait ten minutes before checking the level. There are two control maneuvers, depending on whether or not you have the rear stand; in the first case, simply put the motorcycle upright and check the level from the sight glass. If you do not have this tool, you can still perform the check, paying attention to some small details. You will need to hold the motorcycle by the handlebars and a fixed part of the vehicle, such as a footrest, and bring it to a level position; then, crouch down and check the oil level. When returning the motorcycle to its resting position, pay attention to the position of the stand to avoid dropping the motorcycle.
