Înlocuirea placuțelor de frână din față.

Raise the car with a jack at the wheel where you want to work. Unscrew the fixing bolts of the wheel with a pneumatic screwdriver and remove it. Find the plastic caps that protect the fixing bolts of the caliper and remove them with the help of a small screwdriver. Loosen the fixing bolts of the caliper with a 7mm hex key and remove it. Before removing the old brake pads, use a lever to retract the piston and create the housing for the new pads, which clearly have a greater thickness. At this point, remove the old pads and insert the new ones, being careful to make the tabs of the rear pad adhere inside the piston and to correctly house the front pad's sealing spring.
Then reposition the caliper and tighten the fixing bolts. Reapply the plastic protection caps and make sure the front pad's sealing spring is properly engaged in its housing.
Remount the wheel by screwing the bolts with the pneumatic screwdriver and check the correct tightening after lowering the car and removing the jack.
Before driving, remember to pump the brake pedal until it offers the appropriate resistance, thus correctly repositioning the cylinder.

Cum să demontăm amortizorul față pe un Peugeot 406? Primul pas de urmat: ridicăm capota motorului și o fixăm în siguranță cu bara de susținere.
