Disassembly of the steering wheel with airbag on a Discovery? We disassemble the airbag to access the steering wheel fastening bolt. We insert a screwdriver into the slots on the back of the steering wheel and release the clips that hold the airbag. Once the airbag is removed, we disconnect the power terminals and extract it from the steering wheel. We unscrew the central fastening bolt (steering wheel), remove the steering wheel. We secure the new steering wheel with the attached fastening bolts, connect the power terminal, and then press it with our hands onto the steering wheel until the fastening clips snap into place inside.
