Before proceeding with the replacement of the automatic transmission oil, make sure you have the appropriate ATF oil, the filter cartridge, and the gasket for the transmission pan. Lift the car on a lift or on suitable car stands; unscrew the drain plug and collect the used oil in a basin; then unscrew the fastening bolts of the transmission pan and remove the filter cartridge (simply pull it downwards); thoroughly clean the pan, removing any metallic residues that may have been deposited on the magnet. The video shows the emptying of the transmission by starting the engine and engaging the different gears, leaving the transmission pan disassembled: pay attention to this operation as it could damage the transmission; if necessary, the washing should be done with the appropriate equipment that inserts new oil while extracting the old one, always keeping the gears lubricated. Then apply the new filter cartridge, the new gasket to the pan, and fasten it by tightening the respective fastening bolts. Fill the transmission with new oil, start the engine, and engage all the positions of the gear lever. Finally, check the oil level using the appropriate dipstick.
