The guide shows how to replace the automatic transmission oil of the Peugeot 3008. The procedure must be performed from both the engine compartment and the bottom of the vehicle, so a vehicle lifter is necessary. From the engine hood, the engine air filter and its sleeve must be removed; this operation highlights a colored Torx55 cap on the bottom of the vehicle: it is the oil tank cap for the transmission. Once the car is lifted, the purge cap of the tank, located near the beginning of the exhaust pipe and before the front axle, must be unscrewed. Using a Torx40 key, the first bolt is unscrewed, taking care to have a container positioned under the tank and to consider the oil temperature. Using a 17mm hexagonal key, the second stage of the purge cap is unscrewed; while the tank is completely emptied, it is advisable to clean the two caps that were unscrewed a little earlier. Remount them in position and tighten them well; lower the vehicle again. With the help of a funnel, pour the new transmission oil (the specifications are defined in the user and maintenance manual); the quantity is about 3 liters. Close the tank with the colored cap and remount the air filter.
