Raise the vehicle on a lift and remove the wheel at the semi-axle to be repaired. Release the clamps holding the boot and pull it back to reveal the seeger ring that seals the joint. Using a small fixed screwdriver, release and remove the seeger ring. Remove the hub fixing pins from the shock absorber, but before doing so, mark the position of the upper pin with a punch (one hit on the head of the pin and one aligned with the shock absorber bracket) as it is eccentric and adjusts the wheel camber. Then pull the hub to extract only the cross of the semi-axle from its seat, taking care that it does not slip from the gearbox causing oil leakage. Using pliers, remove the cross fixing seeger and extract it from the shaft complete with rollers (or rings), paying attention to the orientation of the latter (the thin part should be on the outside). Remove the damaged boot and insert the new one. Reposition the cross on the semi-axle shaft and lock it with the appropriate seeger. Completely grease the cross with special grease for homokinetic joints until the boot is completely filled. Then insert the rings, respecting the correct mounting position (thin part on the outside) and fit the joint into the support. Reassemble the hub fixing pins to the shock absorber, orienting the upper pin so that the previously punched markings coincide. Then insert the seeger ring into the appropriate groove to fix the joint to the support, position the boot and tighten the clamps. Reassemble the wheel.
