Disconnect the negative pole of the battery and remove the cable. Lift the car onto the lift, open the hood and unscrew the securing screws of the bumper. Lower the car and remove the grille, bumper, headlights and place them in the "maintenance" position. Remove the top cover of the engine. Remove the cooling fan and loosen the tensioner to remove the auxiliary belt. Loosen the alternator tensioner screw and remove the belt. Remove the auxiliary belt tensioner and the alternator tensioner. Remove the crankshaft pulley cover. Remove the top cover of the distribution. Remove the bolts of the crankshaft pulley and remove it. Remove the lower cover of the distribution. Rotate the crankshaft until the mark coincides with the top dead center of the first cylinder and check the references on the camshaft pulley. Lock the camshaft and crankshaft sprocket with the appropriate tool. The references on the shaft must be aligned. Loosen the tensioner, remove the pulley and the belt gently. Remove the water pump while placing a basin under the engine to collect the liquid that will come out. Clean the pump seat and the cooling circuit thoroughly. Loosen the nuts on the camshaft pulley so that the bolts are in the center of the slots and tighten them slightly. Install the new water pump and check the gasket well. Tighten the nuts with a torque wrench. Install the new tensioner with the mounted pin and inserted into the engine hole. Rotate the adjustment indicator clockwise as much as possible, then tighten the nut slightly. Reinstall the new distribution belt and install the new pulley. Rotate the indicator on the tensioner counterclockwise until you can remove the pin. Rotate the tensioner until the indicator coincides with the reference notch and tighten the nut. Tighten the bolts on the camshaft pulley and remove the various stops. Turn the engine twice to check for perfect operation and check the tensioner. Reinstall all other parts.
