Once the vehicle has been lifted on a lift or jack, remove the wheel that needs to be repaired. Then, using a 6mm hex key, loosen the fastening bolt of the disc to the hub. With a screwdriver, release the retaining spring on the brake caliper. Identify and remove the rubber caps on the back of the brake caliper fixing pins and unscrew them with a 7mm hex key. With the help of a fixed screwdriver, lever between the brake disc and the caliper to retract the piston and create the necessary clearance to easily remove the caliper. Using a 16mm socket wrench, unscrew the brake caliper support fastening bolts. Remove the old brake disc from the hub (if it is stuck, tap it with a hammer on the front, not on the side, to release it). It is recommended to brush and clean the hub from any rust residues and apply grease to prevent oxidation. Then apply the new disc (after cleaning it with a solvent to remove any residual protective oil) aligning the fastening pin hole with the threaded hole on the hub: correctly screw and tighten the pin with the 6mm hex key. Reassemble the brake caliper support bracket. Apply a new set of brake pads in the brake caliper and reassemble the caliper itself. Finally, reattach the retaining spring on the caliper. Before driving, it is recommended to pump the brake pedal until it offers the right resistance to ensure that the brake caliper piston reaches the end of its travel and pay attention to the first brake applications. The tools needed to perform this repair are: a hammer, a medium-sized fixed screwdriver, a 6mm and 7mm hex key, a 16mm and 17mm socket wrench.
