As a first step, it is suggested to disconnect the battery to avoid any damage to the electrical system. First, remove the plastic covers of the turn signal switch: the upper one is simply locked in place (just pull it to release it); the lower one, instead, is fixed with three 20 torx screws (2 upper - one on the left and the other on the right - and one located below, inside the appropriate passage hole on the cover itself). However, before unscrewing the fixing screws of the lower cover, it is necessary to remove the plastic handle of the steering wheel position adjustment lever: the handle is fixed with a 3mm hexagonal screw.
Once the covers are removed, it is possible to identify the contact socket of the starting system, just behind the key block.
Then release the socket by simultaneously pressing the two fixing tabs. The socket has 4 wires of different colors and in order from left to right they are: black (negative), red (positive under the key), red (battery positive), red/black (starter motor). In order to install the accessory starter button, it is necessary to intercept the red/black wire of the starter motor and connect it to the latter (clearly properly isolating the connection with tape) with a suitable section and length cable, which must then be brought to the point where the accessory button is to be installed. It is suggested to position the button in place of the cigarette lighter, to simplify both the cable passage and the electrical connections (to the button, in fact, it is necessary to connect a positive together with the motor cable). In fact, two cables are connected to the cigarette lighter: one black (positive) and one brown (negative). The wiring diagram of the accessory starter button is therefore as follows: on the first terminal block (the green one), connect the red/black of the starter motor and the black (positive) of the cigarette lighter; on the second terminal block (the yellow one for the button lighting power supply) connect a positive and a negative.
After completing the electrical connections, reassemble the turn signal switch covers, the adjustment lever handle and reconnect the battery.
