If the transmission of our car gets damaged, the belt needs to be replaced. If you do not intend to seek help from a mechanic, the following guide shows how to proceed on your own. First, all the screws that hold the casing in place need to be loosened.

At this point, the cover of the casing needs to be removed and any dirt that may have accumulated in the belt housing should be removed. Then, the belt can be extracted from both pulleys by widening the two ends of the pulley with your fingers and sliding the replacement belt between the two halves of the pulley.

The belt should be manually slid until it reaches the bottom of the pulley halves, and then the free end of the transmission belt should be pulled and inserted onto the driving pulley.
