If the remote control of our Citroen C4 stops working, it may be that the battery is low or damaged. To replace it, we open the plastic cover of the key to reach the battery. In particular, we take the C4 key remote control and press the button to release the metal key. We find the exact point to lever to remove the cover. We hold the key remote control with one hand, with the other we insert a lever kit on the side of the cover where the metal key is housed. We exert pressure until the plastic cap covering the back of the key comes off. Here we will find the battery to be replaced, which is a flat Cr 2032 type 3V. Now we remove the old battery with a mini screwdriver and place the new 3V Cr 2032 battery (preferably of excellent quality for longer life). Finally, we close the key remote control with the cover cap (press until it locks into the plastic) and press the plastic covers after positioning them perfectly. To make sure we have done everything correctly, we test the remote control by opening and closing the car doors.
