The so-called debimeter is actually the air mass meter: it is a sensor mounted downstream of the engine air filter box and its function is to communicate to the engine management control unit the volume of air expelled based on the number of revolutions. It is possible to check the operation of this sensor using a simple voltmeter. Set the reading scale to 20V, intercept the debimeter connector and connect the probes to the two larger section wires (black and purple): when the ignition is turned on, the 12V power supply will be measured; it is suggested to use pins or small nails to insert into the wire input to facilitate the measurement; leaving the ground probe, check the voltage output from the other two wires: with the engine off, nothing should be measured; with the engine running, instead, the voltage should increase with the engine speed.
