The rear lights and therefore the bulbs are distributed in two groups. The first group is fixed to the trunk lid. To remove it, you need to open the trunk and remove the cover from the inside. After unscrewing the two screws, you can remove the light assembly and by levering on the two tabs, you will remove the bulb holder plate. Here, for example, you will find the reverse light and the position light. Once you have replaced the bulbs, reinsert the plate, the light assembly, and screw the nuts back on, finally closing it with the cover. The other bulbs are located in the light assembly at the corner of the body. In this case, you also need to remove the cover from the inside and unscrew a white plastic screw. After doing this, you can remove the component and disconnect the electrical connector. Now, by moving the tabs, with the help of a screwdriver perhaps, extract the bulb holder. In this case, you can replace the turn signal and brake light bulbs. Reinsert the bulb holder, attach the electrical connector, and reinsert the light into its housing. Screw the plastic screw back on and reposition the cover. Car model: VW Jetta MK 6 Year: 2011-2016 Required tools: small flat-blade screwdriver, 10mm socket wrench.
