Operation: How to replace the front strut mount on a Renault Scenic II.

In this video, we see how to replace the front shock absorber strut on a Renault Scenic II. First, we remove the windshield grille located under the left rear side, and then the rubber seal. Now, we unscrew the fastening element of the windshield grille on the right side and lift the grille from this side. We clean the upper support of the strut with WD-40 and loosen the upper fastening elements. We lift the front of the vehicle and remove the front wheels, then clean the fastening elements that connect the stabilizer strut to the shock absorber strut, and then those that connect to the ball joint with WD-40. Then remove the stabilizer bar from the shock absorber support. We disconnect the wiring and the flexible hose from the support bracket of the shock absorber and then the fastening elements that connect the strut to the ball joint. We clean the fastening element that connects the ball joint to the ball joint with a wire brush, then unscrew the pin that connects the two components; support the ball joint and release the fastening elements between the strut and the ball joint, using a hammer. We unscrew the upper fastening element of the shock absorber support pillar. At this point, we can remove the shock absorber. To remove the upper support of the pillar, a special tool illustrated in the video is required, which will also allow us to reassemble the new strut in its place; it is a hydraulic spring compressor, which in its simplest configuration costs 139.9 euros on eBay with the code 166352654753, including delivery charges. We will reassemble the dust cover, the pressure limiter, and the spring, then reassemble the upper support with its bearing, and tighten the spring through the access hole. Now we can reassemble the strut on the vehicle after treating the seat with WD-40. For reassembly, we can follow the disassembly instructions in reverse, aided by the video that shows each phase in detail. We can find the shock absorbers on eBay with the code 124013157963 at a price of 69.00 euros, including delivery.
