In this tutorial, we can see how to replace the steering wheel in the Volkswagen Golf, a very simple operation. Before proceeding, we open the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid accidental activation of the airbag. We start by going inside the cabin, then we detach the upper cover of the steering column, locate the two newly freed holes, and insert a thin screwdriver inside to unlock the fastening clips of the airbag. We then separate the airbag from the steering wheel, disconnect the various connectors, and unscrew the large central bolt. To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
