Answer

The brake warning light indicates a major failure, and should by no means be overlooked. After changing the pads, we can reset it in a simple way, by pressing the brake and accelerator pedals at the same time for about twenty seconds. At that point the light will flash, and the next time the ignition is switched on, the light will be reset.
