If the handbrake lever makes a very long stroke, then it means that the cable must be adjusted so that the lever has a stroke of about 5 clicks; the adjustment is made from inside the passenger compartment, by removing the frame and the boot that covers the handbrake lever, tightening the adjuster nut with the handbrake lowered (disengaged).
