How to remove scratches from the Dacia Sandero.

On a Dacia Sandero, the removal of light scratches is done by correcting the clear coat of the paint, provided that the mark has not reached the base or the metal. Before proceeding, it is advisable to thoroughly wash and dry the area, as any remaining particles can create additional scratches during the process. To determine if the scratch is "superficial," gently run your fingernail over it: if the nail does not catch or only catches slightly, usually the correction with compound and finishing has a good chance of significantly improving the appearance; if the groove is deep, the correction may only lessen it, and a repainting intervention might be necessary.

After cleaning, isolate the plastics and nearby edges with masking tape and work on a cool surface, in the shade, to prevent the products from drying too quickly. Apply a small amount of abrasive paste to a pad and work on the area with controlled and even strokes, avoiding prolonged pressure on the same spot and not "pressing" on the edges, as the clear coat is thinner there. After a few passes, remove the residue with a clean cloth and check the result in the light: if the mark is still visible, repeat with another short cycle instead of increasing aggressiveness or time in the same go.

When the scratch has been diminished, move on to a finishing product to enhance gloss and uniformity, eliminating any halos left by the compound. At the end of the job, clean the area and protect it with wax or a sealant, so the surface remains more uniform and easier to maintain. If during your checks you notice that the scratch shows a different color or small metal spots, stop: in that case, the correction cannot "fill" the missing material, and the risk is only to worsen the finish.
