A Problem with the Fiat U-Connect Infotainment System

There is no way to start the infotainment system without also turning on the radio. The solution would be to turn off the radio when you arrive, so it remains off when you set off again. However, in this case, the entire system does not restart, not just the radio, so if you place your phone in its holder and someone calls you, the hands-free does not work; essentially, only the U-Connect system should turn on, not the radio as well. This issue has been raised by several users on forums, and many find this characteristic of the Fiat U-Connect annoying, as it does not allow the radio to be turned off without shutting down the entire infotainment system.
