Before proceeding with the engine oil and filter replacement on your Honda Hornet, secure the bike on a stand in a stable and safe position to work without risk to your safety. Once done, place a drain pan under the engine block and, using the appropriate socket, unscrew the drain bolt to let the old oil flow out. Now, after protecting the exhaust headers with cardboard, unscrew the oil filter, located at the front of the engine block, using the suitable tool, and replace it with a new filter. At this point, close the drain hole, open the oil filler cap, and pour in approximately 3.8 litres of oil into the engine. This is the maximum capacity. The level on the dipstick should be at the max mark if the engine is cold.
