To replace the battery on this model of Japanese vehicle in a DIY manner, follow the instructions and useful tips provided below. First, open the hood; the battery is located under the front panel where the engine air intake is. Unscrew the fastening screws of the air duct to access the battery, and first unscrew the screws securing the upper crossmember. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal, and remove the battery to install the new one. Reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative terminal, and screw the upper plate screws back in. Finally, reattach the screws for the air duct.
