How to Replace the Centre Brake Light Bulb on a Honda FR-V

Let's see how to replace the central third brake light bulb on a Honda FR-V: this is located above the tailgate, integrated into the spoiler. Using a flat screwdriver, gently insert the tip into the side clips holding the cover. Press the clip outward while gently pulling the cover towards you. (The clips are fragile, so use caution). Once the cover is removed, you will find two cross-head screws securing the bulb holder to the frame; unscrew them and keep them safe. Behind the bulb holder, there is an electrical connector; rotate it to the left and gently disconnect it, then pull the bulb out of its housing by sliding it sideways: insert the new bulb (without touching it with bare hands). Ask an assistant to press the brake for a functionality test; if all is well, reconnect the connector to the bulb holder, screw in the two screws, reposition the cover, and press the clips until they click.
