The service light is a yellow or red indicator that signals the need for maintenance on the vehicle. When the light is on, it indicates that mechanical parts need to be checked because a certain number of miles has been driven.

To reset the service light on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204, turn on the ignition and press the TRIP A button on the right side of the instrument cluster for a few seconds to display the current mileage of the vehicle. At the same time, press and hold the call button and the OK button to access the service settings menu.

Select the "Assyst Plus" option and "full service" to start the reset procedure. Choose the "reset" option to confirm and wait for the mileage to load for the next service.
