Let’s see how to properly use low gears on a Suzuki Jimny: Suzuki states that you can shift to low gears while moving, but the YouTuber rightly advises against it, as the gears continue to turn. It is advisable to stop to perform this operation. Put the gearbox in neutral, press the clutch, and engage the 4x4. It is recommended to reverse a short distance and then proceed: this helps align the gears, as starting directly may result in misalignment and issues. The same procedure applies for shifting to low gears. Always in neutral, with the clutch pressed, engage the low gears, reverse a metre, and then proceed. To disengage, return to neutral, shift back to 4x4, listen for the beep, then shift to normal gears. Again, reverse a short distance to align the gears, and you can proceed.
