Operation: How to replace the central locking unit on the Volkswagen Golf 5?

The Volkswagen Golf 5 central locking control unit is located inside the passenger compartment: various parts of the dashboard must be removed to access it. To disassemble these parts of the dashboard, loosen the screws that secure the glovebox, the center console and the front dashboard. The control unit will be located in correspondence with the luggage compartment, in the left part of its housing. It will need to be pulled out, taking care to unplug the connectors correctly. Once removed, it can be replaced with a new one and all the previously disassembled parts can be mounted.
