Answer

It should be noted that turning on the warning light does not, at least initially, lead to an engine problem. The problem indicates a possible anomaly in the exhaust gas recirculation or DPF system clogged. A typical suggestion is to go to the ring road / motorway along a stretch at high speed (always within the limits), in this way an automatic cleaning of the DPF is performed. Another solution could be the addition of a specific additive. In the most serious cases it can lead to loss of power and shutdown of the vehicle. Replacing the particulate filter can cost over € 300.
