(Various brands) Various - Video tutorial

Model: (Various brands) Various
Part: Particulate filter
Operation: Theoretical functioning of the AdBlue system on Peugeot/Citroen.

In this video, we see an animation that explains the theoretical functioning of the PSA pollution treatment system with AdBlue: we see the position of the catalyst in relation to the engine. And the AdBlue tank on the opposite side of the vehicle: in the center, the catalyst with the DPF: a diesel engine emits carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter, which are eliminated in three steps with AdBlue treatment: The first step is that all these gases pass through the catalyst; the second step is when the SCR valve transforms nitrogen oxide into water and nitrogen through the introduction of AdBlue. Finally, with the third step, we have a 99.9% reduction in particulate matter. All very nice in theory, unfortunately, we know the difficulties that the system has forced users to face.
