What problems does the Kymco Downtown 300i have?

A rather common problem with the Kymco Downtown 300i is the battery light coming on: this light indicates that the alternator is not charging the battery and this could cause problems. There are two other known problems: the appearance of petrol in the oil and the appearance of a noise coming from the engine at low revs and significantly under load with consequent loss of power. The first is due to the injector not closing well when the engine is switched off, the second to a defect in the crankshaft which practically leads to skewing.
