What is the button on the rearview mirror of the Jeep Compass for?

In the Jeep Compass internal rear view mirror, there is a small button which, when pressed, activates the anti-glare function. This function is useful at night, when another car lights us from behind, making it impossible to use the rearview mirror. A small LED near the button indicates the activation of the function.
