Answer

If your Smart 451 does not start and you are sure that the battery is charging, the most common problem is related to the crankshaft speed sensor. This happens because the sensor mounted on the crankshaft of this car model is a type of sensor that has now been supplanted by a more recent one. This in fact is equipped with an electronic card that allows a more precise detection than the previous one. Consequently, if you replace the original Smart Fortwo sensor with this newer sensor, you should be able to start the car.
