To change the bulb on the front of the Alfa Romeo 159 or on the back, it is the same method. The optical unit is held by screws that can be easily removed. Manipulation can be carried out without having to remove the entire optical unit. However, if you take it apart, there will be more space, so there will be less difficulty. As soon as you have removed the screws from the light unit, unplug the plug that supplies electricity to the headlights. This is why it will be necessary that the keys are not at the vehicle ignition level (preferably removed from the ignition). Then unhook the plastic holder which is used as an insulator for the bulbs. Be careful not to damage the fasteners. Finally, access the different bulbs in the headlight assembly and note the position light bulb to change. Note that this has a security. Sometimes there is a Maintenance crochet hook. If not, the bulb is maintained by the pressure in its base. In this case, you will need to gently squeeze the bulb to release the pressure and then remove it. Finally, unscrew the bulb a quarter of a turn to be able to extract it from its holder. Then insert the new bulb by performing the same manipulation but in the opposite direction. Finally, reposition the insulating cover, taking care to correctly hook the plastic fasteners. Reconnect the power plug. Finally, put the headlight assembly back on the car and check if the new bulb works by turning on the headlights.
