Answer

The immobilizer on vehicles - such as the Nissan Micra k12 - is an electronic anti-theft system that can be connected to both the engine control unit and the starter motor. It was designed to prevent the vehicle from starting if the key code is not recognized. It works thanks to an antenna located in the ignition lock, which analyzes the key code. If it is the right one, the vehicle will start, otherwise it will be "immobilized" and will not start. However, this chip could break in various ways: if the keys fall to the ground, or something falls on them.
