Answer

It's a malfunction that can happen especially on new cars. It seems to be simply a firmware problem, because bringing it back to the dealership immediately solves it. If you can't bring it to the dealership right away, try holding down the ESC button for 5 seconds to disable the traction control, and then re-enable it; or check the F44 fuse for the four-wheel drive (in the passenger compartment fuse box) to see if it has blown.
