The Chevrolet Aveo has electric power steering integrated into the steering column and if the relative warning light comes on on the instrument panel display, it would be advisable to carry out a diagnosis to detect the fault code; one of the defects of this power steering is the breakage of the rack inside the column which generates a kinematic error as the worm screw connected to the electric motor continues to turn without however dragging the rack. The solution to the problem is to replace the steering column, perhaps opting for a remanufactured one.
