How to Quickly Remove the Air Vents

Model: Audi A3 8P, MK 2 - Years 2003-2013
Part: Air vents

There are several reasons why you may need to remove the air vents, such as replacing the frame with a coloured one, or because the mechanism that allows them to move gets stuck after being idle for a long time, and forcing it can cause damage.

Removing the air vents in the cabin is a relatively simple task, but it requires care to avoid damaging the dashboard.

To extract the vent assembly, pull it towards you using your hands, or initially assist yourself with a flat-head screwdriver by prying at the edges to separate it from the rest of the dashboard. It is advisable to be cautious and place a spacer between the screwdriver and the plastics to prevent scratching the dashboard or the vent itself.
